In short
Namesake does not collect, upload or share any personal data. The app makes no network connections and contains no analytics, advertising or third-party libraries.

Contacts access
If you grant access, the app reads names, birthdays and the dates in the “Dates” field (e.g. anniversaries) from Contacts in order to show them in the menu bar, the panel and the widgets. This data is stored only in the app's private storage on your device (the App Group), shared solely with its widgets. It is never transmitted anywhere. Access is optional - without it the app shows the name day calendar only.
Revoking access and deletion
You can revoke Contacts access at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts; the app then deletes the stored data on its next launch. Uninstalling the app removes all of its storage.
App Store purchase
Purchases are processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. The controller receives no personal data about the buyer.
Children
The app is not directed at children and processes no data about them.
This website
This website uses no cookies or analytics. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which may briefly process technical data (IP address) to operate the service under its own policy.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top of this page is updated. Material changes will be announced in the app's App Store description.
